2014年7月24日，清华大学经济学博士后、立心国际管理研究院首席管理专家李江涛应淘客网邀请，对阿里巴巴集团旗下1688网的销售骨干和后台骨干培训——“基于网络的平台战略”课程。

李江涛博士提出，平台经营是一个时代现象，从实体经济到互联网经济，平台运行将成为大企业、大网络运行的唯一方式。1688网作为阿里巴巴集团旨在面向国内中小企业推出的采购批发市场，服务于B2B领域，服务对象超过1400万家中小企业，服务区域遍布220个国家地区，但最终业务经营没有取得预期的良好效果。这其中，没能有效实施平台战略是一个重要原因。

因此，1688网作为阿里巴巴集团B2B领域重要组成部分，为建立B2B领域电商大平台，1688网从现在开始，要全面实施平台战略，以构造中小企业间平台生态圈为目标，以创新平台企业盈利模式为依托，从而实现规模、效益的稳定高速增长。
